The Indonesian Journal of Scientific Data (IJSD) is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated exclusively to the publication of Data Descriptors and Data Papers across all scientific disciplines. The journal does not publish conventional research articles, theoretical papers, literature reviews, or studies primarily focused on hypothesis testing and scientific conclusions.
IJSD aims to promote transparency, reproducibility, and long-term data stewardship by providing a dedicated platform for documenting the generation, collection, processing, curation, validation, and dissemination of scientific datasets. The journal emphasizes the publication of high-quality datasets that are valuable for future research and can be readily discovered, accessed, integrated, and reused by the global scientific community.
The journal's primary readership includes researchers, scientists, data producers, data curators, research data managers, librarians, information professionals, educators, students, policymakers, government agencies, and industry practitioners who generate, manage, analyze, preserve, or reuse scientific data. IJSD particularly serves communities interested in open science, research transparency, reproducibility, data sharing, and FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) data practices. IJSD accepts manuscripts in Bahasa Indonesia and English. However, authors are strongly encouraged to submit manuscripts in English to maximize the international visibility, accessibility, and reusability of published datasets.
IJSD is managed and published by the National Research and Innovation Agency of Indonesia (BRIN). This journal receives institutional support including editorial management, publication services, digital infrastructure, and dissemination activities. No commercial organization influences the journal’s editorial policies, peer-review process, or publication decisions. Editorial independence is maintained in accordance with internationally recognized principles of scholarly publishing.
IJSD publish twice a year in October and April.
