Abstract




Pola gelombang yang ditimbulkan oleh lambung kapal yang melaju sangat penting ketika mempertimbangkan kualitas desain lambung dan prediksi hambatan. Makalah ini membahas kajian pola gelombang sekitar monohull (demihull) dan lambung ganda (catamaran) dengan jarak lambung bervariasi. Estimasi numerik hambatan dan interaksi gelombang kapal yang dihasilkan dilakukan dengan menerapkan teknik-teknik numerik untuk menghitung pola gelombang timbul dan hambatannya, dengan permukaan air tenang. Hasil perhitungan numerik untuk kedua demihull dan catamaran dibandingkan dan dibahas secara rinci.
