PENGARUH TEMPERATUR DAN WAKTU KALSINASI TERHADAP PERUBAHAN FASA TiO2[Effect Of Temperature And Calcination Time Of Changes In TiO2 Phase]
Main Article Content
Abstract
In present work, the calcinations experiments to make TiO2 catalytic material were carried out at laboratory scale. The raw material TiO2 used for experiments were prepared by ilmenite decomposition with NaOH followed with titanium dissolution from those decomposed material into the aqueous sulfuric acid solutions, and precipitation of TiO2 from the solutions. The calcinations experiments were carried out at temperature 300°C up to 1000°C for 0.5 hours until 3 hours. The calcine from experimets were analyzed with X-Ray diffraction method and their photocatalytic properties were applied to decompose the methyl orange and dyes materials generated from textile industries. From the result of calcinations experiments, it was observed that anatase was formed at calcinations temperature lower than 600°C. The increase of calcinations temperature from 300°C to 1000°C decreased the X ray intensities of anatase, and TiO2 material heated to the temperature lower than 600°C has a better photocatalytic properties in destroying methyl orange.
