Abstract

The Impact of Anthropogenic Activity on Chlorophyll-a as a Bioindicator of Water Quality in Cipondoh Lake. Cipondoh Lake is the largest water reservoir in Tangerang City which has an important role in irrigation, fisheries, agriculture, culinary, and tourism. Water quality monitoring needs to be done to prevent water quality degradation and damage on the lake which can cause many negative impacts. Chlorophyll-a phytoplankton can be used as an indicator of water quality because it could give a response to environmental changes. This study aims to determine horizontal distribution of chlorophyll-a based on anthropogenic activity in Cipondoh Lake. Chlorophyll-a samples were tested at five-station using spectrophotometric method in September-December 2020. The effect of environmental indicators and community anthropocentrism on chlorophyll-a was analyzed using Multiple Linear Regression. The results showed that all stations were eutrophicated and were in moderate pollution. Community anthropocentrism has no significant effect on chlorophyll-a in Cipondoh Lake. Environmental indicators simultaneously affected chlorophyll-a 90,1%. Stations with more dense and diverse anthropogenic activity had higher chlorophyll-a.
