MASALAH PERBATASAN WILAYAH LAUT INDONESIA DI LAUT ARAFURA DAN LAUT TIMOR

Abstract

As an archipelago Indonesia hasproblem concerning maritime borders with its neighbours such as Australia Papua New Guinea and Timor Leste In Arafura sea Indonesia has no problems concerning maritime boundaries with Papua New Guinea however the Indonesian Australian maritime boundaries concerning continental shelf and economic exclusive zone have not finished yet In Timor sea Indonesia has problems with Timor Leste concerning territorial sea as well as with Australia concerning with continental shelfand economic exclusive zone. Inspite of unfinished maritime boundaries agreements with the neighbours Indonesia still tries to negotiate with its neighbours to solve the problems
