This study was conducted to identify the potential outbound of China’s tourists. This study analyzed two important aspects in mapping the prospect of tourist. The first aspect is the share on outbound tourists that can help to identify potential tourist visits. The second is Gross Domestic Product (GDP) Per Capita, which represents the level of welfare of the population in a region. The study covered 31 provinces in China. By modifying the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Growth-Share Matrix, we identified eight provinces in China with the most potentials market prospect, namely: Shanghai, Beijing, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Liaoning, Zhejiang, Shandong and Hubei. These provinces are mostly located in eastern part of China. This study recommends that the Indonesia government needs to be more intensive in promoting Indonesia’s tourist destinations in the eight provinces as mentioned.Downloads
