About the Journal

Berita Biologi (Terakreditasi SINTA 2 sampai dengan tahun 2025) adalah jurnal yang menerbitkan artikel kemajuan penelitian di bidang biologi dan ilmu-ilmu terkait di Indonesia yang terbit 3 kali dalam satu tahun (April, Agustus, Desember). Berita Biologi memuat karya tulis ilmiah asli berupa makalah hasil penelitian, komunikasi pendek dan tinjauan kembali yang belum pernah diterbitkan atau tidak sedang dikirim ke media lain. Masalah yang diliput, diharuskan menampilkan aspek atau informasi baru dan akan ditelaah oleh mitra bestari yang kompeten dibidangnya. Untuk naskah yang melibatkan penelitian dengan Hewan Percobaan diwajibkan menyertakan Persteujuan Klirens Etik dari intansi berwenang. Naskah yang diterbitkan oleh Berita Biologi bersifat Open Access dan menerapkan APC (article processing charge Rp. 1.000.000) untuk setiap artikel. Mengingat banyak naskah yang setelah melewati proses review, namun tidak ditindak lanjuti oleh penulis, maka untuk naskah yang dikirimkan setelah Februari 2026, APC akan dimintakan setelah naskah lolos pre-seleksi oleh editor untuk dilanjutkan ke proses review dan proses berikutnya.

Berita Biologi (Accredited SINTA 2 until 2025) is a journal that publishes articles on advancements in research in the field of biology and related sciences in Indonesia, published three times a year (April, August, December). Berita Biologi contains original scientific papers in the form of research papers, short communications, and reviews that have not been published elsewhere or are not currently under consideration by other media. The issues covered are required to feature new aspects or information and will be reviewed by competent peer reviewers in the respective fields. For manuscripts involving research with experimental animals, it is mandatory to include Ethical Clearance Approval from the authorized agency. Manuscripts published by Berita Biologi are Open Access and apply an Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 1.000.000 for each published article. Considering that many manuscripts have gone through the review process but are not followed up by the authors, for manuscripts submitted after February 2026, an APC will be requested after the manuscript passes pre-selection by the editor to proceed to the review process and the next process.
