Peer Review Process

4 Items
1. Objective The peer review process at IJReSES aims to ensure the publication of high-quality, rigorous, and impactful research in the fields of remote sensing and earth sciences. The process is designed to maintain the integrity of the scientific record, provide constructive feedback to authors, and uphold the standards of the journal.   2. Type of Peer Review IJReSES employs a double-blind peer review process, where both the reviewers and the authors remain anonymous to each other. This helps to ensure impartiality and fairness.   3. Selection of Reviewers Reviewers are selected based on their expertise in the relevant field. The Editorial Board ensures that the reviewers have no conflicts of interest with the submitted manuscript. Reviewers are expected to adhere to ethical guidelines, maintaining confidentiality and providing objective evaluations.   4. Review Process - Initial Assessment: The Editor-in-Chief conducts an initial assessment of the manuscript for its suitability in the journal. - Reviewer Assignment: Suitable manuscripts are then assigned to at least two independent reviewers. - Review Period: Reviewers are given a set period, typically 4-6 weeks, to submit their evaluations. - Evaluation Criteria: Reviewers assess the manuscript's originality, methodology, data analysis, clarity, and relevance to the journal's scope.   5. Feedback to Authors The feedback from reviewers includes comments on the strengths and weaknesses of the manuscript, suggestions for improvement, and a recommendation for the manuscript's acceptance, revision, or rejection.   6. Revisions If revisions are required, authors are given clear guidance and a timeline for resubmission. The revised manuscript may undergo further rounds of review if necessary.   7. Final Decision The final decision on the manuscript's publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief, based on the reviewers' recommendations and the manuscript's overall quality and fit for the journal.   8. Appeals Authors have the right to appeal editorial decisions. Appeals must be substantiated with a detailed explanation and are reviewed by an independent committee.   9. Confidentiality and Ethical Standards All parties involved in the peer review process must maintain the highest levels of confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards. Conflicts of interest must be disclosed and managed appropriately.   10. Continuous Improvement The peer review process is regularly assessed and updated to incorporate best practices and address emerging challenges in scientific publishing.
