Berkala Arkeologi Issue No. 1 May, 2001, this time featuring 6 articles from researchers in the Puslit Arkenas and its staff. These writings are the result of research from several fields of prehistoric, classical and Islamic studies. From the field of prehistoric studies featuring the study of cave settlements in 2 articles, an article on rock types used for megalithic buildings, and an article about a symbolic review of the Tutari site, Irianjaya. The classical field of study displays historical terracotta artifacts, while the field of Islamic studies displays the socialization of Islam in Indonesia. Finally, we hope that these articles will be of use to the development of science in general and in the field of archaeology in particular.
