Journal History

Jurnal Penelitian Hasil Hutan (JPHH) is a scientific publication in the fields of anatomy, physical mechanics, fiber technology, composites, biodeterioration and preservation of lignocellulosic materials, forest product drying technologies, sawing and wood machining, processing of timber and non-timber forest products, chemical processing and energy from forest products, forest engineering, and harvesting of timber and non-timber forest products, as well as standardization. This journal has been evaluated by the Ministry of Research and Technology/National Research and Innovation Agency and accredited as a Tier 2 Scientific Journal, with Certificate No.: 200/M/KPT/2020, valid for five (5) years, from Volume 38, Issue 1 in 2020 to Volume 42, Issue 2 in 2024. JPHH was first published in 1984 and is released three times per volume annually (March, July, and November).

This journal was published by the Forest Product Research and Development Center, the Research, Development, and Innovation Agency, Ministry of Environment and Forestry. Previously, it was known as the Forest Engineering and Forest Product Processing Research and Development Center, the Forestry Research and Development Agency, Ministry of Forestry, Republic of Indonesia. The publisher’s name was changed following the merger of the Ministry of Forestry with the Ministry of Environment, forming the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (Presidential Regulation No. 16/2015). As a result, the Forest Engineering and Forest Product Processing Research and Development Center was renamed the Forest Product Research and Development Center. The publisher's logo was also updated to align with the logo of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry. In the 2023, This journal is moved to National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) and publish by BRIN Publishing (Penerbit BRIN)
