This study aims to explore the moral values contained in the Tarekat manuscript coded Peti 104A KFH.1/30, written in Malay using the Arabic script. The manuscript functions not only as a historical document but also as a medium for conveying spiritual and ethical teachings within classical Malay society. Using a thematic approach grounded in classical Islamic ethics, the study identifies key moral themes such as self-restraint, character development, and critiques of immoral behavior including arrogance and slander. The poetic language employed by the author effectively conveys moral messages in an elegant and reflective manner. These values are analyzed in light of the ethical concepts of Al-Ghazali and Ibn Miskawayh and compared with teachings from the Qur’an and Hadith. This research contributes to the preservation of cultural heritage and the advancement of character education based on Islamic values, positioning the manuscript as a relevant source of moral guidance for contemporary society.
