PERKEMBANGAN BUDAYA AKHIR PLEISTOSEN-AWAL HOLOSEN DI NUSANTARA

Abstract
Since the last decade, explorations to unveil traces of culture of Late Pleistocene- Early Holocene have become more extensive. The observation areas have covered Aceh, Nias Island, the interior of South Sumatra, the west coast of West Kalimantan and North Barito, South Sulawesi, Central Moluccas, Halmahera, Ponorogo and Pacitan in East Java, Wonosari (Yogyakarta), Klungkung (Bali), Rotendao, Flores, and Kupang. This article is a compilation of data from a number of research results pertaining to Late-Pleistocene-Early Holocene culture, in search of new data about traces of emergence of development of Homo sapiens in terms of site distribution and chronology. The results of this paper will provide new data in forms of more dating results as well as wider site distribution and cultural technology of Homo sapiens from Late Pleistocene-Eary Holocend in Indonesia.
Sejak dasawarsa terakhir ini eksplorasi untuk mengetahui jejak-jejak manusia dan budaya akhir Pleistosen-awal Holosen makin meluas. Wilayah pengamatan telah menjangkau Aceh, Pulau Nias, pedalaman Sumatera Selatan, pesisir Pantai Barat Kalimantan Barat dan Barito Utara, Sulawesi Selatan, Maluku Tengah, Halmahera, Ponorogo dan Pacitan (Jawa Timur), Wonosari (Yogyakarta), Klungkung (Bali), Rotendao, Flores, dan Kupang. Makalah ini merupakan kompilasi data dari sejumlah hasil penelitian yang menyangkut budaya akhir Pleistosen-awal Holosen, dalam upaya mencari informasi baru jejak-jejak perkembangan munculnya manusia sapiens yang menyangkut distribusi situs dan kronologinya. Melalui tulisan ini diperoleh sumbangan data berupa tambahan jumlah hasil pertanggalan dan persebaran situs- situs serta teknologi budaya manusia sapiens pada akhir Pleistosen-awal Holosen di Indonesia.
